About Me
My name is Andrew Tait. I am originally from Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders, and have now lived in Turkey for 4 years. Initially I lived on the beautiful Aegean coast of South West Turkey, and in 2012 I moved to the Fethiye area on the Mediterranean coast.
Formerly a communications professional in the global financial services industry, I had always had a huge desire to be a singer and share my enjoyment of music with other people. So much so that I spent many an evening in karaoke bars crooning my tunes whilst enjoying a fine ale or two! I even went for an audition (many years ago now) for a part in a West End musical – sadly without success.
In 2010 I was asked by two special friends in Didim if I would like to do a ‘show’ at their bar – the Cavern in Altinkum. It didn’t take much persuasion, and soon I was feeling the stress of learning 30 new songs in a 4 week period for a my very first ever public performance as a solo professional vocalist.
Following that first performance things just steam-rollered, to the point in early 2012 I was doing 5 or 6 gigs regularly every week in Didim and Akbuk, and already I have several regular gigs set up in the Fethiye area for the remainder of the 2012 season. I perform many classic and contemporary pop songs from across 6 decades. My favourite genre for singing is Swing and I frequently perform my various theme/tribute nights, including a Rat Pack Show, An Evening With Tom & Engelbert, and a Swinging Sixties night.
I currently have over 200 songs in my repertoire, and strive to add more on a regular basis in order to keep my act fresh and exciting both for my followers and for myself. I absolutely love singing, and I love it even more when my audiences enjoy it and get to their feet dancing.
I am also available for private bookings, for example weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties etc., although in summer these are subject to my extremely busy schedule. If you are interested in talking to me about your requirements please use the ‘Contact Me’ link in the header above.

Thanks for your enquiry Steve. I will be performing on Saturday 20th at the Bostan Hotel, opposite the new Kipa in Calis, from around 8.30pm. I am also hoping that there will still be enough people around in Calis so that I can perform at Joseph’s Cocktail Bar (on the main road down to the beach) on Friday 26th from around 9.15pm. Steve, thanks for booking and I very much look forward to seeing you and your friends on Saturday. Unfortunately, I only sing one Beatles song and I am happy to include this for you. Learning more at this short notice is difficult given the workload I have at the moment with the lead up to some special events I am doing over the next 3 months.
